About Carl Radford

Based in Northern California, Carl Radford has worked as a portfolio manager at Bluecrest Capital for the last eight years. From 2012 to 2017, he managed $200 million of capital with a specialization in relative value trading in the Australian and New Zealand dollar fixed income markets while working in Singapore. In 2018 Carl Radford transferred to Bluecrest Capital USA, resuming his work in the AUD and NZD fixed income markets.

Mr. Radford earned his bachelor of commerce from Sydney University and started working in the financial services industry as a financial markets trader at HSBC Australia. He ultimately rose to a position as HSBC Hong Kong’s head of AUD and NZD derivatives trading and held responsibilities as head book runner for the long-end AUD swap book.

For a year, Carl Radford worked as a global head of dollar bloc fixed-income trading at Nomura in London. He oversaw the Japanese yen swap and basis books and managed Japanese government bond trading.
